The following are terms of a legal agreement between you and Smart Repair IT. By accessing, browsing and/or using anything on this site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms below and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. The customer authorises Smart Repair IT to carry out an evaluation of the machine sent to determine the nature of the damage and provide an estimate of repair cost and timing.
The customer authorises Smart Repair IT and employees, to receive and transport the PC/Laptop to and from our office/workshop.
Any PC/Laptop left with Smart Repair IT unclaimed for 90 days, will be disposed of or resold. At which time,Smart Repair IT reserves the right and shall have no liability to the customer or any third party
2. Limited Liability
Smart Repair IT shall not be liable for any claims regarding the physical functioning of the PC/Laptop, hardware failure before, during or after the repair/service or the condition or existence of data on storage media supplied before, during or after service.
In no event will Smart Repair IT be liable for any damage to the PC/Laptop, hardware failure before, during or after repair service, loss of data however small or large in size, loss of revenue or profits, however caused, before, during or after service.
Smart Repair IT will not be liable if you encounter any software issues, hardware failure or data loss after returning your computer or laptop to you.
It is the client's sole responsibility to ensure that all data and information stored on the computer equipment and hardware requiring repairs is appropriately backed up to other storage devices prior to handing over for repairs. Smart Repair IT shall under no circumstances be responsible for data loss or hardware or system failure before, during of after service/repair.
Customers will be informed of any diagnostic tests that need to be undertaken on hardware such as hard drives etc. If a diagnostic test reveals that there is faulty hardware you will be advised of the hardware that is faulty.
We cannot be held responsible for the following:
Smart Repair IT will not be liable for any damage caused to other equipment by parts supplied following any repair.
Smart Repair IT agrees not to disclose any and all information or data files supplied with, stored on, or recovered from customers PC/Laptop except to employees of Smart Repair IT subject to confidentiality agreements or as required by law.
4. Parts required for repairs
If any repair requires a part(s) ordered. We require the cost of the part(s) upfront payable via bank transfer or cash.
5. Payment for Repairs
Payment for repairs is due in full upon collection of the repaired PC/Laptop and is payable via Bank Transfer, Cash and debit/credit cards .
Payment for monthly IT support, cloud storage or computer/hardware monitoring for businesses/home offices is payable in advance on receipt of invoice and can be paid via credit/debit cards or bank transfer.
Smart Repair IT provide a 30 day return to base warranty on PC's/Laptops labour only repairs carried out on PC's/Laptops requested by the client. If the same problem re-occurs within 14 days of the original repair date, Smart Repair IT will carry out the repair again without charge. However, charges will be incurred should additional parts be required. This warranty excludes faults caused by viruses, windows updates or other software issues. The warranty does not cover for any loss or damage due to negligence, mishandling, accidents, theft, water flooding, war outbreak, electrical storms, fire outbreak, earthquakes, or any other act of God.
We charge a diagnostic fee of £15 if we need to diagnose the issue.
Although all attempts are made to provide accurate, current and reliable information, you should recognize the possibility that errors may exist in the information available on this Web site. You agree that Smart Repair IT shall not be liable for any and all losses, (including loss of data) damages, costs, claims and other liabilities which arise as a result of any delay or interruption in, services due to circumstances beyond our control.
Accidents can happen with such devices as hard drives as they can fail at any point in time due to being electronic and having moving parts internally, services or repairs are therefore agreed on the basis that we will not be held liable or responsible for such loss.
Services and products advertised on this site may be altered, modified or discontinued at any time without prior notice. Prices for services, repairs or products are subject to change without prior notice.
Smart Repair IT has the right, at their discretion, to refuse the supply of goods and services.
We reserve the right to amend the content of our website and or our documentation at any time without prior notice.
We cannot accept any responsibility for other websites we do not control, which may be linked to or from our website.
